Make a plan before playing
Set a spending limit using only money you can afford to lose. Set a time limit too, and take breaks away from the screen. Never use money needed for rent, food, bills or repayments. Avoid gambling when upset, impaired or trying to recover a loss.
Use account controls early
Look for deposit limits, reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion in the operator’s account settings. Ask support to explain how a restriction works and whether it covers related accounts. Do not open another account to bypass it.
Signs it is time to stop
- Spending more time or money than you intended.
- Borrowing, hiding transactions or missing essential payments.
- Chasing losses or feeling unable to take a break.
- Gambling interfering with work, sleep or relationships.
